Stu Freeman is a Sydney-based Art Director and designer specialising in event production, experiential design, brand activations and visual merchandising. He is a multi-disciplined creative who specialises in photography.

Stu began his career as a Visual Merchandiser, working in both London and Sydney, with iconic brands such as Levis, Nike and American Apparel. During this time he gained an acute understanding of spatial design and the fashion retail market. In 2013 he entered the world of event production and has since art directed numerous high profile events for leading global brands including Nike and Foxtel. He is currently working as the Art Director for Secret Sounds Connect representing the commercial rights of an unrivalled portfolio of music assets, connecting brands with music lovers, influencers and youth through partnerships with some of the world’s best and most revered festivals Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival. Priding himself on alternative concepts and broad narratives, he possesses a deep understanding of the demographic, whilst delivering high quality production with impeccable attention to detail.

In 2015 his creative path led him to co-found critically-acclaimed homeware brand NONCENSE. This exclusive collection of luxury ceramic incense burners has been stocked in some of the worlds most exclusive stores including Colette, Dover Street Market and Paul Smith.

With the live music events industry currently on pause, Stuart has various new projects in the works, whilst residing with his wife and two boys in Avalon on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
